Independence Trust is in part supported by your donations. The extra help you give can make an enormous difference. For example, with your help we can:- .
- Run day trips and activities for those who experience mental ill health or Alzheimer’s.
- Supply books and materials to those who want to improve their education.
- Give a few hours respite to those who support loved ones
- Provide Internet Access for those seeking to get back into employment or to find meaningful community activities.
- Deliver high quality training for our volunteers.
- Provide Art Materials and courses to encourage creativity and self expression.
Independence Trust works in 13 locations across the county as well as in nine schools, and many community settings. Each year we help more than 5000 people, the youngest is 11, the oldest in his 80’s. Our help is of great benefit to many others who are family and carers, giving them well deserved respite and time for themselves. We understand that people are the experts in their own needs and we support them to take more control and make improvements in their lives.
We value volunteers enormously as they give us direct contact with the communities we serve and bring invaluable life experience. Volunteering makes communities stronger and adds great value to our services.
