The voluntary sector held its own “Oscars” ceremony this month. Independence Trust was nominated for Best Partnership/ Collaboration for our work with Probation on the Alcohol Treatment Requirement and for Best Governance because of our “Vision for Future Services” and for being “Grounded in the needs of our clients”. To top it all, Peter received a special award “Thanks For Representing the Voluntary and Community Sector” because “He has done the VCS proud in showing great leadership”.

 As it says on the website “We are a local charity, working closely with local organisations to find better solutions for the people who ask for our help”. These awards show that these are more than just fine words.
